Clearly lies are true
"I just finished reading Clearly Lies Are True. This book is ultimately a powerful testimony about the mistreatment of children within Scientology. Definitely worth reading if you’re interested in the early days of the church and the lasting impact it had on its youngest members.”
— Katherine Spallino- Author, The Bad Cadet: Growing Up in the Church of Scientology’s Sea Organization
“Pam's writing gives you a series of snapshots of what it's like from a child's perspective to be forced to constantly be pushed and pulled about, seemingly at random by adults who have no idea what they are doing, yet are so sure they are saving the world. Rarely have I seen anyone tell their story in such a raw yet effective way. This one is definitely worth your time.”
— Chris Shelton, Msc - Author and Host of Speaking of Cults, A podcast about cults, coercive control and recovery.
“Pamela’s story is truly a gripping and powerful memoir of her upbringing in Scientology. Her detailed account takes readers on a journey, through her eyes as a child, on the Royal Scotman, to becoming a teenage auditor, and even crossing paths with L.Ron Hubbard. Her narrative exposes the intricate web of truths and lies of the Scientology world and modern American life in the 1960’s and 1970’s. Pam’s unflinching honesty and masterful storytelling make this book a must-read!”

About PAM
Hi, I’m Pamela Nickel Williams, author of my soon to be released memoir, Clearly Lies Are True, in which I share first-hand narrative accounts of growing up as the daughter of early cult followers of Scientology during the 1950’s, 60’s, and 70’s. My story includes detailed experiences and vivid memories of how this cult powerfully and forcefully influenced my family throughout my childhood and teenage years.
